The easiest way to learn a language is when you are young. Everyone knows that. So the earlier you can expose your child to a language the better, right?
Most parents will leave language learning to happen at school. That is fine as most schools these days offer English as a compulsory course and a range of other languages as they get older.
THREE PROBLEMS WITH RELYING ON THIS:
Firstly, school starts really late in the child's development. For example in Finland children don't start school until they are 7. Exposing children to a language a lot earlier will give them a huge head start. If done properly and with regular classes, you can give your child native like language skills right from when they start speaking.
The second problem occurs when they start school. Teachers rarely have the target language as a native language. Furthermore it is likely that they may teach in a language different to the one being learned. This means that students can pick up bad habits (or worse incorrect language skills) right from the start. The most obvious is pronunciation. Less obvious is language projection skills as native language speakers always project their language more strongly and appropriately than those that are using it as a second language.
Finally, learning the language is not the entire picture. To effectively use it in a meaningful way is what is important. We incorporate in our program active learning skills not just simple grammar and syntax. Your child will be exposed to the language through a range of different methods of teaching which will be tailored with the parents.
Your child will be taught only by trained native language speakers with proved experience in teaching language and educating children. Languages include ENGLISH, SWEDISH, GERMAN, ITALIAN, FRENCH AND SPANISH.
